On August 4, 2025, Vivo unveiled the Y400 5G in India, which is touted to be a powerhouse of durability and practicality in the brand’s Y-series. With a powerful 6,000 mAh battery, 120 Hz AMOLED display, rugged IP68/IP69 rating, and smart AI features, the Y400 5G aims to deliver great performance to suit an energetic lifestyle. Despite its large battery, Vivo packs these capabilities into a sleek ~7.9 mm profile—a rare feat in the mid-range segment.
Display
The visual core features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, which offers sharp FHD+ resolution (2400 × 1080 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate. It achieves a brightness peak of up to 1,800 nits, ensuring great visibility even in bright sunlight, and supports HDR10+ for improved dynamic contrast.
Along with its vibrant presentation, this display comes with SGS eye protection certification to reduce blue light exposure, as well as 400% volume technology for improved audio performance.
Cameras
Photography is driven by a dual rear setup: a 50 MP main sensor (Sony IMX852/IMX885, depending on report) coupled with a 2 MP depth sensor. It supports underwater photography—leveraging its rugged build—and standard modes like Night, Portrait, Slo-mo, Time-lapse, and more.
