Apple is all set to launch iPhone 16 series in September 9th. This year’s iPhone lineup will arrive slightly earlier, than last year’s models. Apple will retain the same four variants with the iPhone 16 series as the iPhone 15 lineup: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Apple iPhone 16 series launch date: India and global
According to a teaser, The iPhone 16 series is set to officially launch on 9th September at 10 AM PT (10:30 PM IST). The teaser carries the tagline (It’s Glotime). This is three days ahead of the iPhone 15 series debut event on September 12th last year.
When Apple announced the iPhone 14 series in 2022, breaking away from its Tuesday tradition, that day was a Wednesday. It”s look like Apple will continue this trend with a Monday release for its iPhone 16 series.
iPhone 16 series price in India (expected)
There is a buzz on the internet that the starting price of the iPhone 16 Plus will be $899 (roughly Rs. 75,500). While the iPhone 16 will be priced at $799 (roughly Rs. 66,500), this means there will be no increase in the prices of the vanilla and Plus variants.
They are priced the same as the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. On the other hand. iPhone Pro Max will start at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 1,00,700), The iPhone 16 Pro will start at $1,099 (roughly Rs. 92,300). As per the leaked prices, the Pro models will cost $100 more than the previous-generation models.
Additionally. The iPhone 16 Pro units will be manufactured in India, making them the first Pro models to be assembled in the country. The iPhone 16 will come in green, white, black, blue, and pink, while the iPhone 16 Plus will come in blue, pink, yellow, green, black, white, and purple.

Thanks to previous leaks, we know the entire hardware configuration of all the models in the iPhone 16 series. The vanilla iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus units will come with an aluminium build, while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will come in a titanium body iPhone.
Display: The iPhone 16 will feature a 6.1-inch display that will support a 60Hz refresh rate, just like the iPhone 15.
SoC: It will draw power from the A18 chip, which is an upgrade from the A16 chip on the iPhone 15.
Battery: The iPhone 15 will feature a 3,561mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the 3,349mAh cell on the iPhone 15.
Storage: The device will come with 128GB, 256GB, & 512GB storage options.
Camera: It will have a dual camera setup, consisting of a 48MP primary snapper and a 12MP ultrawide lens.
Other features: With the iPhone 16, you will get Apple Intelligence AI support which is currently limited to only the iPhone 15 Pro models and Wi-Fi 6E support.

Battery: The iPhone 16 Pro will have a 3,355mAh battery, up from the 3,274mAh cell on the iPhone 15 Pro.
Storage: The device have 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.
Camera: It will have a triple camera setup: a 48MP primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 48MP ultrawide lens, up from the 12MP ultrawide sensor on the iPhone 15 Pro.
Other features: iPhone 16 Pro will get support of Apple Intelligence AI and Wi-Fi 7. It’s will also have a capture button for photography.
iPhone 16 Pro Max
Display: The iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.9-inch display, that supports a 120Hz refresh rate.and, 6.7-inch screen on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
SoC: iPhone heart of the device will be the A18 Pro chip. An upgrade over the A17 Pro chip on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Battery: The iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 4,676mAh battery, up from 4,441mAh cell on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Storage: The device will come with 256GB, 512GB, & 1TB storage options.
Camera: At will have a 48MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto snapper, & a 48MP ultrawide lens. Up from the 12MP ultrawide shooter on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Other features: The iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature Apple Intelligence AI and Wi-Fi 7 support. It’s will also have a capture button for photography.
What to expect from the Apple launch event?
Apart from the iPhone 16 series, Apple may release two different sets of Apple Watch Series 10 and new AirPods at the September 10 launch event, which will go on sale starting September 20,
The Apple Watch Series 10 family is getting slimmer but with a bigger screen. And the AirPods lineup could replace the current option of 2nd or 3rd generation earbuds with two new models.
These new AirPods will look like a cross between the 3rd generation AirPods and the AirPods Pro, with the updated mid-tier set featuring active noise cancellation for the first time in ordinary AirPods.
