GTA 6 trailer: first-ever female protagonist, releases in 2025

It’s finally here! Rockstar has released the first trailer for GTA 6 and thankfully it’s a full-fledged trailer and not just another teaser. The trailer dropped just hours before its official release after a leak on X (formerly Twitter). This isn’t the first GTA 6 leak the publisher has had to deal with and with the way things are going, it definitely won’t be the last.

GTA 6 trailer in details

The trailer confirmed many of the features suggested in the leak. It featured two Possibility and Bonnie and Clyde-inspired gameplay. The trailer revealed that the female potentialĀ is named Lucia. who will mark the first female protagonist in the GTA franchise. The male protagonist is believed to be named Jason, but the trailer does not confirm this, We are potential to know more about that later. The trailer begins with him in prison and will presumably follow the standard GTA story of rising through the ranks to the top.

The GTA 6 trailer also confirmed that the game will feature a more detailed and vibrant Vice City. However, Vice City will only be a part of the larger map. Although it was not explicitly mentioned in the trailer, the press release for the game confirmed that the game will be set in the state of Leonidas, which is Rockstar’s version of Florida. This is very similar to GTA 5 where the city of Los Santos was a small part of the state of San Andreas.

GTA 6 release details

The GTA 6 trailer ends with the reveal that the game will not be coming out next year but in 2025. As expected earlier. The exact release date is still unknown. We’ll get more accurate information from the next trailers. One interesting thing to note is that the game’s press release only mentions that GTA 6 will come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no mention of a PC version. It is doubtful that Rockstar will skip a PC release of the game. It seems that the PC version may be released later.
