The Redmi K80 series is expected to launch before the end of this year. The lineup could include at least two models: Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro. These will be the successors to the Redmi K70 series and should feature chipset-level upgrades. Now, the model numbers, region and codenames, and availability details of the Redmi K80 series have surfaced online courtesy of XiaomiTime.
Additionally, tipster DigitalChatStation has revealed the alleged specifications of the Redmi K80 Pro in a Weibo post, including the chipset, battery, and more. For reference, the Redmi K-series is a budget flagship lineup priced aggressively compared to tier-1 flagships like the OnePlus 13, Samsung Galaxy S-series, and even the Xiaomi numbered lineup.
Redmi K80 series and device codenames
- According to the report, the Redmi K80 Pro is codenamed ‘Miro’ and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite/Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
- The phones will have model numbers 24117RK2CG and 24117RK2CC, meaning there could be multiple configurations.
- Meanwhile, the Redmi K80 is codenamed ‘Zorn’ and will have model numbers 24122RKC7G/24122RKC7C. However, the chipset details have not been leaked yet.
- The report states that the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro will also be launched in global markets like Turkey and other countries. However, they will not be available in India.
- There are also rumors of a third model, codenamed ‘Rodin’, which will be available worldwide including in India.
- The phone is said to balance performance and aggressive pricing well.

Redmi K80 Pro specifications tipped
- DigitalChatStation (via) has tipped the specifications of the Redmi K80 Pro.
- According to it, the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which will be launched later this month.
- The phone may pack a 6,000mAh battery, which is an improvement over the 5,000mAh cell from the previous one.
- It will have 100W wireless charging and wireless charging support, making it the first Redmi K-series phone with such a feature. This is a slight downgrade from the Redmi K70 Pro’s 120W.
- The tipster says that ‘energy density has set a new high’, which could refer to the battery’s ability to store more capacity in less space.
DigitalChatStation’s Weibo post has reportedly been deleted, but screenshots have leaked online. This makes us question whether there will be any changes to the hardware. Either way, we suggest you treat these with a bit of skepticism.
